Tortis Pick Size Comparisons

I get a lot of questions like "How does a C compare to a ______?"  I searched through my pick collection, pulled out some popular picks and compared them to the Tortis picks.  Here we go!

C

That's a Tortis C in the middle.  It is virtually identical to the ProPlec, Clayton Ultem, GHS, and Clayton White.  The Tortex on the far right has straighter sides than any of them.  The ProPlec has a rounder tip than the C, but is otherwise the same size.

ProPlec vs. C- Same size, but the ProPlec has slightly rounded tips. I actually modify my personal C's to pretty close this same profile.
Clayton Ultem on C- exactly the same size.  Clayton White is the same size.
GHS on C- exactly the same size
Tortex on C- you can see the rounder sides of the C peeking out from behind the Tortex.

Classic

Tortis Classic in the middle, surrounded by various others.  As you'll see in the overlays (below), the Classic has just a little more "meat" on the long shoulder.  It has less shoulder width than the Tortis  B (see overlays).

Clayton White on Classic- pretty much the same.  The Classic is just a shade more rounded on the long sides.
Clayton Ultem on Classic
Dunlop Ultex on Classic
Dunlop 500 on Classic
D'Andrea on Classic
Fender Heavy on Classic

Mondo/E

Tortis Mondo on the left, E in the middle.  Golden Gate on top, Wegen on bottom.  The vertical 3 are identical in size.  The Mondo is a modified C, with a little more width.  See overlays, below.

Wegen on Mondo- You can see just a tiny bit of the Mondo poking out around the Wegen
Golden Gate on E- identical

In the following comparisons, I overlaid various picks on either a C or B shape.

Classic on C
B on C
E on C
Mondo on C
Tri-Tip on C- the TT is a little bigger all the way around.  See comparison immediately below.
C on Tri-Tip- here's a C on a TT outline
Classic on B- You can see the little extra width of the B here.
