Ranch Life in Northern New Mexico

My real job is as a rancher, running my family's "north" ranch.  The ranch is 28,000 acres and we run just under 2,000 head of yearling cattle on it.  The cattle come in weighing about 500 lbs in April and get shipped out weighing about 800 lbs. in October.  During the winter, I don't have any cattle, but spend that time doing maintenance to get ready for next year.
