Parts-o-Strat: "Red" (SOLD!!!)
"Red" was a Parts-Strat that I put together from a Mexican Strat body and a 50's RI neck. The neck came from another guitar and the body I purchased on ebay. Red had Tex-Mex pickups, wired with a blender pot instead of a 2nd tone control. The blender mixed the neck and bridge pups and was a good thing to do.
The Fender 50's RI neck is a very comfortable round-ish V neck with vintage-style tuners, aging toner, and vintage radius/frets. Red was a good sounding, good playing guitar but I sold it because I had too many guitars and was starting to focus more on Telecasters. I really liked the clean, classic looks of this guitar, though.
